About Anita

Anita Schlarb is a Canadian photographer specifically interested in capturing images of birds, animals, nature, and landscapes that she discovers in her travels. Born in Chatham, Ontario and now based in Ottawa, she has always enjoyed outdoor activities. At home, you will likely find her looking for birds while cycling, hiking, or walking through a majestic forest. While traveling, she loves to watch breathtaking sunsets, and to walk and relax on beautiful sandy beaches.

Anita Schlarb walking on a beachHer passion for travel has inspired many remarkable and compelling landscape and portrait digital photographs of wild, domestic and aquatic animals, colorful and unusual birds, and scenic landscapes, taken in the Caribbean, several countries of Europe, and many American states and Canadian provinces.

Anita has completed a Bachelor of Music in Education from the University of Ottawa and is a professional piano teacher with decades of experience. She has composed over 150 pedagogical pieces for piano and other instruments, she is an excellent reviewer of her many journeys, and she proudly holds a third degree black belt in Taekwon-Do.

With her love of photographing birds, animals, nature and travel, she has found yet another outlet for her strong creative side and imagination. She is excited to be able to share her enthusiasm for the seasons of life and nature through her digital imagery of spectacular and captivating photography.
